Enjoying our new togetherness

As week one of summer is half way through, I can honestly say we are finally getting into a good routine. :-) Kids have adjusted to being at home, and we are having a great time with all our new free time!  It's so fun watching the older two playing with Maverick during the day. It's a whole different dynamic seeing them grow together. The things Maverick has learned just from this short time of being with them 24/7 is amazing. And listening to the three of them giggling all day is the sweetest sound. I'm very much looking forward to this summer and once again, as always, thankful for the blessing to get to be here to spend it with them. God's plans for me, as a mommy, are such a great blessing. To be entrusted to shape the next generation for Christ is such a big honor. Thank God for Him entrusting me with these three beautiful blessings and I pray if God has it in our plans for more down the road, that He would show us his plans.

It was such a chilly, windy day today. So we spent the day lounging around, watching movies, talking and playing. I love days like this. :-) Off to guitar lesson tonight, where i learned to play Bon Jovi Dead or Alive. hehe. So much fun. Well, I better head to bed, I have munchkins to tend to in the morning. :-) I will leave you with a few videos that always inspire me to do what God has called of me. God bless!!

A Monday at the Ball Park

What a busy day today turned out to be!! Bad part about that, my clean house is now in need of a good cleaning again. LOL. Story of my life. ;-) But thats ok. Was meaning to go to the zoo today, had everything packed etc, got the kids in the car, and realized NO KEYS!!! After searching for about an hr, still nothing, so we had to think of a plan B. So the kiddos and their cousins had a picnic in the backyard and played, then the long walk to the park. :-) Followed immediately by Kamryn's dance rehearsal, then straight to the ball park for her softball game, followed by Carter's tball game. Phew!! Talk about some exhausted kids, praying for a late wake up time tomorrow!!! Sad I had to miss women's group, but am so proud of my two munchkins who did GREAT at their games!!!!

Praying for the families in Joplin tonight. What a sad devastation that has come to that town. May God look down on you and dry your tears and help you through these days of mourning. In a small town, I can't even imagine something that awful happening. Praying the storms we get this storm season do not reach this level!!!

Off to bed for another exciting day tomorrow. With the kids home from school for the summer, we plan on keeping busy with lots of fun activities. Stay tuned to hear what they are! ;-)

Awwww Sundays :-)

What a fun relaxing day this has been. Started off with church with the family. A wonderful message reminding us that it is by faith we are saved, not anything we can do. May we always put an unwavering faith in Jesus and watch his wonderful plan unfold. :-)
Had a fantastic lunch with my parents, then home we went. Got to get a babysitter and go on a great daytime movie date with my wonderful hubby. Saw the movie Thor, and wow, it was GREAT!! Loved it! If you haven't seen it yet, you def should! A little disappointed in the ending, but just sets up for a sequel I spose. ;-)

So tonight starts night one of the couch to 5k plan. Yes, I have started it in the past, but never followed through. So my goal this time is make it through the full training. One of Jeremy's favorite things to do is run, and has always hoped I could join him. I figure its about time I at least try. ;-) Between that, the Nutrisystem Im starting exclusively tomorrow and Zumba, Im hoping to actually ENJOY buying a swim suit in a few months. :-P I know I can do it. Its all about will power for me. I have a hard time sticking to it, but trying to remind myself I owe it to my kids to be in the best shape I can be. Also God will help me through in becoming a better, stronger person who will extend their life to do His work even more :-) God Bless everyone!!!! And pray I make it through running..............hehe

Tenth Avenue North - You Are More

A day at the ball field

Saturday started off rainy, with us thinking ball games would be cancelled. But thankfully it clears up right before Madi and Carter's big game!! They both played GREAT and had a lot of fun. Miss Kamryn had her game at 2 and she did AWESOME, getting some good hits in, before getting a little worn out by the end ;-) All in all, a wonderful day with the family. :-P

Maverick, Mr. cool :-)

Kamryn, Carter and Madi ready to play :-)
As far as the rapture scare.................we are all clearly still here. :-) These people are giving christians a bad name. The bible clearly states that man will not know the day or hour that Christ is coming. Slightly saddened for these individuals who believed it so much the sold houses etc. May God show them the TRUTH. Our God is too big for simple man to predict his return. :-) Praise God.

Kamryn's Day

Today was an exciting/sad day as well. I watched my little Miss Kamryn graduate from first grade. I cannot beleive how big she is getting, and what a beautiful girl she has become. Not only did she graduate, she also won the award for greatest strides in reading fluency. So very very proud of her. Seems like yesterday it was just me and her, holding her as a tiny baby. She has grown so much this last year. She reads non-stop and is excellent in math. I'm looking forward to her bright future. :-)

What a crazy week this has been, wrapping up the school year, while juggling in their activities. Kamryn is doing GREAT at her softball games, and Carter's been doing awesome at his soccer games. :-) With all this activity, things have been hard keeping up on cleaning etc. But with God helping with a new attitude, we are making it through. Today started off rainy and cold, and I found myself struggling with laziness. We had friends over to play this morning, when they left, we were watching a movie, me and the boys, and I found it hard to find any motivation. One of my biggest struggles is procrastination. I know I need to stay on top of things so I avoid feeling overwhelmed at the end of the week, therefore having to waste family time with things I could have gotten done during the week. Idleness is just as bad as laziness, these things include watching tv or on the internet when there are things that need done. I dont know why, but I am always surprised how the day can go so much better when I take the time to get chores and things done BEFORE I sit down to do nothing. The sense of peace and happiness that comes from a house in order is enough to stay diligent in keeping on top of things. God is with me, and will give me the strength even though I may feel tired to do the things His will asks of me. After a brief nap to feel more refreshed, I was able to get up and finish with the days projects and enjoy the night with the family.
I'm so blessed to have this job as a homemaker. And pray I can do it to the best of my abilities. To surround my family with love. Although homemaker is a term with less respect in todays culture, I believe strongly that God has a firm purpose in this job of raising a new generation to be like Christ and bring joy to God by living a life pleasing to him. Praise God for all the blessing he has given me!!! <3

The first of many

So I finally am jumping head first into a blog. I'm hoping this will be a good way to keep up to date on our family, also a way to share my feelings etc. :-) Today was a happy/sad day as my little Carter man graduated preschool. I can't believe how fast time has gone. Seems like just yesterday I was rocking him in the hospital room swaddled in a tiny blanket. I couldn't be prouder of him and so excited as God reveals his plans for his future and we get to watch him grow in Christ. I pray I can be a steadfast mommy, leading him to be the godly man he is destined to be. With his amazing daddy showing him the way, I have no doubt that he has great things in store for him.

Only two more days for Kamryn. Tomorrow she will be going on a field trip with daddy, both are so excited. :-) Maverick and I get to spend the day at home, with our friends Emma and Kyle coming to play in the morning. Busy day, but hoping to continue getting the house in order.

These last few days have been so eye-opening. Never in my life has God's plan seemed so sure for me. I'm embracing my job of bringing life and joy to my home, and pray I can stay patient and faithful to this commitment. I feel the pull of adoption everyday, and know everything is in God's time. So until the day comes when we can look into adopting, I will focus on loving every second of this life I have now.

Although things may have been rocky with Jeremy and I, I'm am so happy that we have finally gotten in a place where our love is stronger than ever. This man is not only my best friend, but the love of my life. We are committed to raising our children with patience and love and lead them to the cross daily. Though not always easy, through a consistent prayer life, we are able to accomplish this.

I will readily admit, I have been on a slippery path the last few months. Unsure of my lifes purpose and bored with where it was heading. God has truly revealed to me a purpose that I know without a doubt is meant for me. To fully embrace being a mommy and spreading that love to others is just as God-pleasing as any high paying job, if not more so. This world is falling apart with hatred and pain, but in my home, I pray I can create an atmosphere of love and peace. Where God's presence is felt and no judgement is cast. Like Psalms 51:12 states Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. I pray I put aside the lie the world wants me to believe that I should put myself first. That God, my husband, my children and the needs of others always come first. The devils biggest goal is to steal my joy and with God's help, I will not let that happen. And looking at my three kiddos darling faces, as you can see, it helps make it much easier. ;-)
